Welcome to SveaBritt
SveaBritt celebrates its 30th year in 2011. Founded in 1981, it is a not-for-profit association of Swedish women working in a variety of professions.
A helpful business and social network, established back when the only Swedish clubs were for men, it is a forum for women in internationally oriented businesses.
As the name suggests, SveaBritt is based in the UK. Covering a wide range of professions with ages ranging from twenties through sixties, currently there are 50 or so members, some with many years experience of life in the UK. It is this vital mix of careers and lifestyles that makes SveaBritt so dynamic.
A member of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and closely associated with the Swedish Embassy, SveaBritt stages about eight evening events each year. Through our wide range of professions and contacts we are constantly able to find topical and interesting speakers covering a wide range of subjects: from the sport of Polo for example to setting up a business to how the House of Lords works.
Workshops and seminars are also held covering divers issues from pension planning to executive coaching, to coping with families while developing a career.
The board consists of a chairperson, deputy chair, secretary, treasurer, event manager and two deputy board members. All are volunteers who run the organisation, each with a significant investment of their own time and and each with a personal commitment to making SveaBritt a success.
Membership is by invitation and sponsorship of two SveaBritt members. If you are interested in joining or would like further information please do not hesitate to contact us at info@sveabritt.com
